Summary

The internet is full of websites - heck, just google almost any word in the dictionary and you'll find a match - and this is just one more contribution. Pretty much none of the content is new since you can probably find the same ideas somewhere else, but it's the first time I've put these thoughts and work up for other peoples' perusal.

I'm not looking for agreement, discord, or indifference - this is just an outlet for ideas. If you, dear reader, feel the urgent need to put in your own two-bits then I'll set up a message board for you to add to, but please keep in mind I won't necessarily care one way or the other. This page is merely self-indulgent, and I'm not looking to earn anything from it. And, of course, if the content really offends you then I invite you to take part in the ultimate resolution: don't look at the site anymore.

Content: I will put in some content showing a portfolio of things I've done, but the main direction at this time for the site is to put down some opinions on how I feel about how people interact, and in some places, my own ideals. This site has gone through a number of "face-lifts", so it will only be a matter of time before I redesign it again. For the time being I'll be writing thoughts in several main categories: friendship, love, sex, commitment, and faith. If you were to ask me the reason for these topics in particular then I suppose I'd have to be honest and say it's because I've had struggles in all of them recently. This will probably lead to heavy bias in some areas, but then what can you do?

Influence: I have two influences from most of my life that I can readily identify; Socrates and Buddha. The former is famous for, "The only thing I know is that I know nothing," and the latter was the creator of Buddhism and brought forward the Middle-path. Recently I accepted a third influence: Jesus. If this has creeped-you-out then you have the option of going no further, or reading my Faith page. Although Socrates was a soldier, he spent most of his life as a man of peace, Buddha was heavily a pacifist, and Jesus also preached peace, although he lost his temper from time to time. I suppose I like these three people as I see traits in them I see in myself - even some things I want to make part of me. I'm not much of a scholar so I don't know every little thing about them, but I don't think I have to. The fact is I think people lose sight of what's really important by over-analyzing lessons taught by men such as these - a case of not seeing the forest for the trees.

So if these words have not yet dissuaded you then please feel free to peruse the pages herein. I won't be using names, and will not use peoples' pictures, so the ideas will have to come across in the text, although I may create graphics later on. I might add a great deal later on, or subtract it; there is a lot of room for questions.
